Notes |
- Allison, Deanna
(b. 29 Dec 1875 in Baxter or Ditty, Putnam Co., TN; d. 19 Sept 1915 Leedey OK) Parents: Abraham Munroe Allison & Gurire Thomas. Married William Thomas Hart 11 Feb 1894. Children: Minnie Estella, Ada Lee, and Leonard Herschel "Buster" Hart.
Known for her outgoing personality, Deanna was a member of the Rebecca Lodge of either Leedey, Moorewood, or Texmo, OK. She loved to be photographed with her horse, Old Pet, and she was very fond of large hats and stylish dresses. She performed community service in the form of caring for the sick and dying. In 1904, she took the train to the World's Fair in St. Louis, MO, where she purchased souvenirs for her family, including a small bud vase featuring an image of the Liberal Arts Building, which is currently in the possession of her great-granddaughter, Karen White. Deanna purportedly died of blood poisoning resulting from termination efforts of an unwanted pregnancy. She is buried at Red Star Cemetery, Leedey OK.
