    • Mildred "Fay" Allen of Ste. Genevieve passed away on Friday, May 21, 2010, at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 12 days. She was born on September 9, 1932, at Sainte Genevieve County, daughter of the late Collin and Millie (Hunt) Hardy.

      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters, Wilma Rose; Thelma Hardy; Reyma Dirks; Helen Shipley; Dorotha Day; and Billie Ruth.

      Mildred was a life-long resident of Ste. Genevieve County. For the past 25 years she was employed at the Parkland Health Center at Farmington where she worked in the call center.

      On May 12, 1950, she and her husband, the Rev. Lawrence "Delbert" Allen, were united in marriage. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Much of her adult life was spent assisting her husband at various area churches where he pastored. She served in a large variety of roles in her church life. She was a Godly woman and Christ was paramount in her life.

      In her spare time she enjoyed trout fishing, flower gardening, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

      In addition to her husband, Fay is survived by three daughters, Sharon Drattlo; Cheryl (Mrs. William) Glackin; and Debbie (Mrs.William) Crow; grandchildren, Jerry Richardson and wife, Kristi; Carolyn (Mrs. Peter) Williams; Lisa Ligon; Christina (Mrs. Andrew) Crow-Roberts; Amy (Mrs. Tom) Hawes; Jennifer (Mrs. Daniel) Westerhold; Courtney Crow; Laura (Mrs. Ben) Gill; Athena Drattlo; Alicia Glackin; Angie Glackin and Bradley Glackin; fourteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris (Mrs. Wilbur) Royster and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

      Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 6-9pm on Monday, May May 24. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 7am until the service beginning at 11am at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bill Crow and the Rev. Keith Huffman officiating. Interment will be at the Genevieve Baptist Church Cemetery.
